A married fashion designer who has a channel on actual Old Money Aesthetic and not the TikTok kind, elegance, regal femininity, marrying up, success, etiquette, royals and self development
Ladies what video do you want coming up tomorrow, scandalous profile of Erica Kirk & level up or Conspiracy Theory Etiquette (how to talk about difficult subjects)?
I have no filter standing behind on of the most famous TikTok Filters on Earth, a marble filter, Michaelangelo’s Pieta. Notice how Mary is a beautiful young woman who looks like Jesus’s niece tending her wounded uncle. There is ZERO natural beauty in religious sculptures, paintings and that of royal and noble women. In art history, realism was reserved for low class peasant women.
Maybe I am making a mistake with the natural beauty trend of posting my real photo with my real face especially standing next to immortal beauty.
The Renaissance was a rebirth of Greek and Roman art were gods, important religious figures and the elite were depicted idealistically. When Carravagio depicted Mary’s mother realistically as a grandmother it caused a big scandal. How dare he disrespect God. Painting high status women realistically was seen as disrespectful and offensive.
Polykleitos is one of the most important sculptors of classic antiquity who developed contraposto. Of course all society ladies have taken art history 101 and know this but let me repeat for everyone else. He wrote the thesis of the Canon of Proportions of mathematically idealizing male beauty. So he came about sculpting by going to the gym and noting someone had a perfect torso and someone else a perfect biceps and someone else perfect eyes and so on. To create the beauty of a god, Polykleitos combined the perfection of the best parts of dozens of people and then tinkered around to make a perfect ratio. The effect was spectacular.
He was known for his spectacular marble and gold sculpture of Hera in his day and a wounded Amazon as well as male gods. His works survive through copies today. Dorphos (Spear Bearer) and Diadumenos (Diadem bearer) are his most famous that have the idealized male in perfect male beauty. He was one of the 5 great sculptors of classic antiquity. He articulated the philosophy of Renaissance two millennia after his death of art being an idealized depiction.
After artists depicted goddesses as filtered and photoshopped perfection, noble women wanted nothing less.
The Mona Lisa itself was a filter that Leonardo da Vinci spent his life time trying to perfect. She did not look like that and he spent his whole life trying to make her more ideal. Go to any museum and find me any realistic noble woman with fine lines, face folds, salt and pepper hair.. the only realistic women are peasants. Only peasant women could not fight back against artists painting them realistically.
Only powerless women got painted naturally and realistically. If a powerful noble woman was painted realistically not only would the painting be burned and the artist never find work again at best and unalived at worst.
Ever since goddesses and religious figures were painted and sculpted idealistically as a form of worship, queens demanded the same to grow and maintain their power. Then noble women wanted what the queens wanted. Historically only peasant women were depicted naturally. When someone tries to talk about natural beauty they think you are ignorant, don’t know art history and are trying to manipulate you into lowering your status as a peasant.
If you look at Chinese art, they don’t draw every wrinkle of an empress. Look at ancient Egyptian art. Notice across cultures the gods, royalty, nobles and high status female figures all have been photoshopped with a TikTok filter. Only peasant women have been painted accurately with wrinkles, missing teeth.
The reason people have filter derangement syndrome is because TikTok is Prometheus who brought the fire 🔥 from the gods in Mt Olympus to the people who benefited. Now something high status women have always used to cement their power in the status hierarchy is available to the common woman. This is why lower class women are so furious and have filter derangement syndrome.
On the Russian side of my family of course when my ancestors or great grandmother posed for a portrait it was like a TikTok filter on steroids, painting a very idealized version of themselves. Before TikTok democratized filters, photographers of high society women were valued how much they could photoshop their subjects beyond recognition in what were called “glamour photos.” Socialites would have a combination of mildly photoshopped “natural” photos (pimple removed) that were still filtered because of amazing lighting of the studio or reflector with the golden hour and wildly photoshopped glamour photos.
Now the low class women are triggered pointing out all the editing in photos and the only thing they managed to point out is their low class and lack of art history education. Until TikTok you had to be very exceptionally pretty and model or exceptionally rich to have a glamour photo that subconsciously ups your status. Now virtually anyone can have a glamour photo in addition to their photos.

Notice how Beyoncé edits all her photos, curates her image and doesn’t do interviews anymore. She wants to be seen as a goddess and hence is treated like one. Learn from Beyoncé, Michaelangelo and Lauren Sanchez, looking natural is for broke loser peasant women.
