The Family
God’s first institution was the marital relationship, forming the Family. The family is the oldest institution and the smallest denominator of society.
The family is God's ideal institution for spreading Heaven’s influence on Earth.
God intended for the family to be the standard for all social life, representing the Kingdom of Heaven, whether it be political, psychological, emotional, or
spiritual.
Our society is psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually sick because of the family breakdown. Every problem in society comes from someone's home.
The problem with most families is that the husband and wife did not prepare for marriage. The husband had no vision, identity, values, or purpose for the family.
The family was established to reflect the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, family life and relationships must be established on kingdom principles because God wants to restore His family.
The Greek definition of the family is a dwelling, a house, or a place where one dwells at home. This concept at home means a place where you fit. At home means it’s natural. The Hebrew word for family means lineage.
That is why if two men marry or two women marry, they will never have a lineage. It is unnatural. Lineage is natural, not unnatural.
If we do not get the family right, we cannot get the world right. The family is the key to a stable, productive, sensitive, and healthy society.
There are five fundamental principles of the family.
1. The family is the foundational unit for reproduction because it is the only qualified unit for effective and total development. People need what God has put in the family structure.
2. The family is the prototype of society. When God created the family, He created a small society.
3. Society is only as strong as the family.
4. Society reflects what's happening in the nation. You cannot produce a nation or society better than the family.
5. The purpose of the family is to secure society. God created the family to protect society. Therefore, our focus must be on the family, not society. Any entity that builds a strong family concept and priority will find that entity prospering.
The solution to all the world's problems is the restoration of the family. The world is trying to solve the problem the wrong way. It is trying to redefine the family!
The family is the cornerstone of a stable, productive, sensitive, and healthy society. The family is the smallest denominator of society. It is a small social society, which was God's original intent.
If you put a number of families together, it is called a community. If you combine several communities, it is called a town/city.
Therefore, a strong home and marriage must be built on kingdom knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Let's take a closer look at the three.
1. Knowledge: Knowledge is information.
2. Understanding is the comprehension of knowledge.
3. Wisdom is application. You cannot apply what you do not understand.
The family was established to reflect the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, family life and relationships must be established on kingdom principles.
Therefore, as born-again believers, we are to submit to a different set of laws and principles according to Heaven's standards. These standards are clearly stated in the bible, the inerrant word of God.
Following God's laws and principles according to Heaven's standards allows you to establish the family's true identity and discover its self-worth, place, and purpose in life.
Following laws and principles according to Heaven's standards allows the family to experience security, stability, peace of mind, clarity, and total peace with God.
This knowledge enables us to appreciate the significance of how we raise our families and the impact they have on our community.
Now, each person clearly understands how they can contribute to making the world a better place. We change the world one family at a time.
Activity: Write in detail how your family has been prepared to represent God in their lifestyle. Will your family have a positive impact on society, or will they be a problem to society?
Please provide a detailed explanation for your answer.

You will only change when your belief system changes. So, hopefully, you have given your life to the Lord to do the most challenging thing in the world: to change your belief system. That is the most challenging thing you will do in life.
