Bringing my limey out of hibernation for past year. This is probably my most prized drum set. It's an early 70s maple Ludwig that I totally rebuilt and customized. A new comparable one is over $3000. I paid less than $200 for it with cymbals and original hardware but it was in very rough shape and every drum, including the bass, was missing the reso hoop.

Custom birch snare drum build. My 14x6.5 birch snare drum build is complete. I used a 6-ply all-birch shell, I cut the outside bearing edge to be a roundover, outside stained with gun stock stain and inside with tung oil finish, top coat is wipe-on polyurethane, 2.3 mm 10-lug Stick Saver steel hoops, hourglass lugs, nylon sleeved tension rod washers, Pearl replica piccolo throw-off, 16-strand PureSound concert snare wires, and Aquarian Texture Coated single ply batter head, Evans 300 snare side head. Shell and hardware sourced from Drum Factory Direct.
