His Excellency,
Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR
The Executive Governor of Anambra State,
Government House, Awka.
Your Excellency,
A Passionate Appeal To Consider Road Infrastructure In Uli Community
It is with deep sense of esteem that I humbly write to you through this medium concerning a serious decay in road infrastructure in the aforementioned kingdom. Let me at this point seize this rare opportunity to extol your giant strides in critical sectors of development since assumption of office on March 17, 2022. Your achievements became glaringly manifest to many during the anniversary of your three years in office which are too numerous to mention, due to want of time and space. This open letter is a very passionate appeal to you, in whom I personally repose strong confidence; your intellectual mobility, sagacity and capacity any time, any day remain unmatched.
Where I hail from has over the years seriously suffered lack of road infrastructure.
Insecurity which had over the last 3 years sent some of us away from our ancestral homes, abandoning some of our beautiful edifices and mansions, including our family physical connections/interactions and home visiting, has since the inception of the Anambra Homeland Security Law initiated by your administration, and under which Operation Udo Ga-achi draws its strength and potency to operate, apparently got dwarfed, and the security of lives and properties significantly improved; I therefore laud you Mr. Governor and plead that you sustain the tempo, especially tightening up the border towns from where those unscrupulous elements make their sinister infiltrations into the state.
In another development, for the past two decades, my town has known no electricity supply; indigenes and students of the state-owned university suffering a serious deprivation.
The most challenging, critical, soul-trenching is the zero access roads in this community. It's seriously troubling!
Sir, we ask for your mercy and fatherly intervention, because apart from Onitsha-Owerri Road standing at the spinal cord of the town as the Federal Highway, connecting Onitsha to Owerri, and the short distance of the spur to the university front gate done by Peter Obi-led administration, and the Eziama road done by your own administration, there is no other single motorable road in the entire Uli community. Thank you very much for the Eziama road, people from that flank of the town can now heave a sigh of relief.
However, due to the vastness of the town, the geographical mapping and the topographical nature of some parts, it has become increasingly daunting for people to move with either cars or motorcycles across the community. From 2003 till today, these were the only 2 roads revamped or newly constructed in the entire community by Anambra State Government. Once it rains, nobody goes anywhere. It is that bad sir!
This appeal is very dear to my heart and the good people of Uli Kingdom; anything it would take for your government to help us in this regard; we will be willing and ready to corroborate.
Very importantly, my people find it very difficult to do burials, traditional marriage ceremonies because there are no roads through which the guests can come in.
Ironically, when you are travelling through Onitsha-Owerri Expressway, you will just see less than 5% of the size of the town which may give you a different perception from the reality of our ordeal. Apart from that central area, and perhaps towards the university front gate, you are done driving to any other location unless you choose to trek.
1. The university back gate is supposed to be tarred through Eke Umuoma to St. Jude's Catholic Parish to Afo Oru Amamputu, the left flank terminating at Umudike Amamputu anchor, then to the right, crossing Mmiri Atammiri to Umuezeawara Ihiala, then discharging into the Okija junction spot of Onitsha-Owerri Expressway.
2. The Assumption Girls Secondary School - Eziama Road is a nightmare and pure existential threat to mankind, as no human activity happens along this road anymore with its erosion menace ravaging.
3. The road inching from the university front gate through Ndianurugwo to St. Peter's Catholic Parish, Amorka is a spoiler in the smooth running of daily activities of COOU students as well as the locals.
4. Uli Centre - Late Igwe Onyekonwu Road awarded and abandoned by previous administrations. That road is the desert section of the community, because apart from the road dividing itself into two parts, human noise has left that axis.
5. Centre - Late Benbella - Ndikokwu Road; awarded and abandoned by previous administrations; the ugly experience of those living along that wing of the town is mind-boggling.
6. Danak - Alaife - Ndiakaba - Obinaka Road is an appendage of disastrous dilapidation, awarded and abandoned again by previous administrations.
7. Ndinwalede through Mmiri Ayo terminating into Centre - Late Igwe Onyekonwu Road.
8. St. Peter's Ndianyineji - Umubazu - Amorka Road
9. Umubazu - Ubahudara - Ossy Igbonwelundu Road
Sir, these ones awarded and abandoned; it's either they were awarded and not funded or something conspicuously vague transpired, which remains an abstraction to the knowledge of the suffering masses.
In addition, it will also be very beneficial for the state to consider initiating a connecting road from Amamputu Uli through Usiam River to Ogwu community in Ogbaru Local Government Area; this will definitely not only curb insecurity in Ihiala and Ogbaru Local Government Areas but also boost agricultural produce and will at the same time serve as a tourism destination for the state, due to the gift of nature around this area.
These few and more beg for your urgent attention our dear governor.
If every successive Anambra Government in 4 years did only 5 kilometres of quality road in this community; by 8 years it would be 10 kilometres at least, in 16 years it would be 20 kilometres; by today the trajectory of the story would have definitely taken a different swing. It might just be one or two roads that may need rehabilitation. To buttress my point above, there are several towns in the state that have hugely gained in road infrastructure, such that almost all their roads are nylon tarred, especially those not located at the borders of the state. This is a very strong point to consider Mr. Governor; border towns need more attention. Your administration's mantra remains One Anambra, One People, One Agenda! and I so subscribe.
Sir, a heed to our hue and cry will really be soul-lifting, the locals will be thankful for keeps, while the students of the state owned university (COOU) will glee in ebullience, because they also suffer the same fate which is at variance with their counterparts in Igboariam campus who enjoy nylon tarred roads, frequent power supply within and outside the campus, with a more secure learning environment.

Russian Civil War- Cause - Opposition to the Bolsheviks (a radical faction of the Marxist Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (RSDLP)) Leader Vladimire Lenin.
Эссе по историческому периоду 1917 - 1922 • СПАДИЛО
The Russian Civil War was caused by opposition to the Bolsheviks from various groups, including monarchists, anti-communists, and different nationalities who wanted their independence. The Russian monarchy had been overthrown by the 1917 February Revolution, and Russia was in a state of political flux. Bolshevik rule was not universally accepted, and the country descended into civil war. The Bolshevik-led Russian Revolution of 1917, in overthrowing Tsar Nicholas II, ended over 300 years of autocratic tsarist rule. The Russian Revolution lasted from March 8, 1917, to June 16, 1923.
