Hello everyone!
My name is Rubie, a proud Pinay living and working in South Korea as a seafood vendor at Namgwangju Market (남광주시장). Every day, I wake up early before the sun rises to prepare fresh seafood for my customers. From cleaning fish and squid to making Korea’s favorite salted mackerel, my life is all about hard work, patience, and dedication.
This channel shows my real daily life at the market — the busy days, the slow days, the cold mornings, and the moments that make this journey meaningful. Being far from home is not always easy, but I continue working to support my family and build a better future.
Here, you will see:

and more

“This Is My Life in Korea — Seafood Vendor Story”
Every day, my alarm rings before the sun rises.
While most people are still sleeping, I am already preparing for another long day at the market.
I am a Pinay living in South Korea, working as a seafood vendor at Namgwangju Market.
This job is not easy, but it is honest work — work that helps me support my family and build a better future.
Some mornings are very cold.
Sometimes I feel tired.
Sometimes I even get sick.
But no matter what, I still show up.
Because my customers are waiting… and my responsibilities cannot wait.
clean fish, arrange seafood, and take care of the live aquarium.
From squid to shrimp, from clams to salted mackerel — every day is busy, every day is different.
There are days when the market is full of customers, and there are days when it is quiet.
But whether busy or slow, I continue working with patience and determination.
Being a vendor taught me many things —
to be strong, to be grateful, and to never give up.
This is not just a job.
This is my life.
A life of hard work, sacrifice, and hope.
And even though the work is challenging,
I am proud of what I do.
Because behind every fish I sell,
behind every long day at the market,
there is a dream…
a dream for a better tomorrow.
This is my life in Korea.
This is the story of a seafood vendor.
