I am currently working on three projects: The Attempted Assassination of Andrew Jackson, History LIED About John Adams & Coolidge, and How Texas Voted In Every Election (1848-2024), all three of these projects will be released over the next week. However, some of my other projects such as How Virginia Voted In Every Election, The Top 15 Best & Worst lists are taking much longer than I anticipated, so they will likely be released in Mid-to late January.

Since you guys want to see me do a GoAnimate recreation of Andrew Jackson’s assassination attempt, I thought I should give you all a preview of my GoAnimate Andrew Jackson model that will be used both in that video and in future Retro Historian Show episodes. What do you all think?

The John Adams & Calvin Coolidge episode is taking much longer than I thought, I’ll try to get out this week, so I thought I can make a GoAnimate history video as a side project. Which topic should I recreate in GoAnimate?

For people who think Vice President J.D. Vance is the Republican favorite in 2028, these days numbers tell a different story as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has a slight lead over the incumbent Vice President. The only VPs to run for president and not be in first place in the years leading up to the nomination process usually lose the nomination (Dan Quayle in 2000, Mike Pence in 2024, and Charles Fairbanks in 1916)

I did some more research on U.S. Presidents, and I found the complete opposite results than I did with the economic results. While Democratic presidents have dominated on the economy since 1875, I have noticed that Republican presidents have dominated with crisis leadership; however, the two most recent Republican presidents haven’t been so great with crisis leadership.

Wow! I reuploaded a William McKinley GoAnimate video from my old channel and I thought it wasn’t going to do very well considering that it only got 100 views on my old channel; however, imagine my surprise when I saw it got 500! Apparently I am now an American History GoAnimator and I love it! Along side the small GoAnimate historical segments you see in my historical documentaries, expect to see more GoAnimate historical videos like this one in the future.

I did some research on U.S. Presidents and the economy and I noticed some interesting trends! I noticed that Democratic Presidents have been better on the economy since the 1900s. In every economic recession/panic, Democrats were president during 4 disasters and were terrible on the economy (Van Buren in the Panic of 1837, Wilson in the 1920 Depression, and Jimmy Carter during the late 1970s stagflation crisis, and Biden who inherited the COVID Recession and the 2020s inflation crisis.). While Republicans were president during 8 disasters and were terrible on the economy (Grant in the Panic of 1873, Harrison during the Panic of 1893 (though Cleveland inherited it) Hoover during the Great Depression, Ford during the 1970s Stagflation, Reagan during the 1980s recessions, H.W.Bush and the 1992 recession, and Bush 43 with the Great Recession, and Trump with the COVID recession.) What’s also more interesting is out of all the Republican presidents in the last 70 years, Ronald Reagan remains as the only Republican to have unemployment rates lower at the end of his term than when he first entered office. Additionally, Reagan’s administration saw the most job growth for a Republican in the last 70 years, while Trump’s first term saw the first net positive unemployment rate since Herbert Hoover. With the exception of Reagan, Democratic presidents, particularly Bill Clinton, FDR, JFK, and LBJ have absolutely dominated on the economy for the last 90 years. The only Republicans I could find who led some of the best economic recoveries in American history were Calvin Coolidge (who was president during the Roaring 20s and inherited most of Harding’s policies), Rutherford B. Hayes, (who is tied with FDR, William McKinley, and Warren G. Harding for generating one of the largest economy recoveries in history), William McKinley, and Ronald Reagan.

I’ve read all of your criticisms of the way I’ve been running my channel and there is a consistency. Many of you are rightfully calling me out for my indecisiveness when it comes to quitting, personally, I’ve always struggled with low self confidence and have always been a people pleaser, which isn’t a very good combination. So from here on out, whenever I promise to do a project, I will try my best to do it; however, I cannot promise release dates as these videos take a very long time to make. I am also not going to quit anytime soon, though I might one day as not everything can last forever, I currently have no plans to do so as I’m starting to recover my passion for history once again. I’m also going to try to be less biased in videos such as Top 15 Best Presidents, Top 15 Worst Presidents (Yes I’m thinking of making that one after all), and presidential tier rankings; however, occasionally my bias will come out for passion projects such as the Reagan & Hayes documentary which has been universally praised by everyone who has seen it, but I will try to be as objective as possible going forward. Thank you everyone who participated in the last post and for critiquing the way I was running things as I believe criticism is needed in order to help someone improve their skills as a creator.
