Hey everyone! Today, I’m sharing two of my favorite coffee spots right here in Las Cruces, New Mexico. (There are more than two.) These aren’t ranked in any particular order—they each have their own unique vibe and flavor that make them worth visiting. Whether you're a local or just passing through, these shops should be on your must-try list!
☕ Grounded
Located in the heart of downtown Las Cruces, Grounded is a standout café housed in a beautiful historic building. This spot is all about ambiance—warm lighting, rustic decor, and an effortlessly chill vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer.
What sets Grounded apart? The Mexican Mocha—a bold, rich drink with a subtle kick of chile that gives it that true New Mexico twist. It's unexpected, spicy, and unforgettable.
But it’s not just about coffee here. Grounded also serves up some of the best pizza in town, along with wine, craft beer, and other treats. Bonus: most of their drinks are vegan-friendly, but you'd never know from the taste.
Don’t miss their live music nights—they book fantastic local and regional acts that perfectly match the cozy vibe. Coffee, pizza, wine, music... what more could you want?
☕ Picacho Coffee Roasters
Tucked away in the charming neighborhood of Mesilla Park, Picacho Coffee Roasters is a staple in the local coffee scene. Not only is it a great place to relax with a cup, but they also roast their own beans—and those beans are served in cafes all over Las Cruces, Silver City, and beyond.
This place is a dream for coffee purists. You can taste the craft in every cup, and the friendly staff is always happy to walk you through their roasts if you're not sure what to try.
One of my favorite things about Picacho Coffee Roasters? They sell vinyl records too! So whether you’re crate-digging or sipping an espresso, the vibe here is always on point.
