I think the vast majority of modern red carpet fashion and celebrity style owes a lot to the unforgettable looks of Old Hollywood icons. Nobody today looks better than Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, et.al., did in vintage fashion. I wanted to do a quick highlight of some of the most fashionable Golden Age actors and actresses.
Hope you like it.

My favorite Old Hollywood actresses are Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Rita Hayworth and Ava Gardner. If you asked what my Top 5 or Top 10 are I would have these as my top 4 every time.
Who would be number 5? Depends on the mood. I could slot Barbara Stanwyck, Bette Davis, Carole Lombard, Lana Turner, Vivienne Leigh, etc. in any Top 5 list at any given time. But Rita, Marilyn, Ava and Liz will always be my top 4.
So what's the point of this video? I thought it interesting that these actresses were certainly peaking physically at 27. But what movies were they in at that time. Turns out, some pretty significant one.

I appreciate the views on my latest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1oNU...
A couple things: My narration is not awesome but I decided to try it instead of AI. I'm learning and hope it gets better.
The other thing is I have been made aware that the background music was too loud. Again, I'm still learning how to do this stuff, but I appreciate those kind commentors pointing that out so next time I can do better.
Thanks again for watching and commenting. I really appreciate everyone one of you supporting the channel.

There has been a ton of debate back and forth about CGI, no CGI, in regards to a couple videos I created on the topic, specifically for The Ten Commandments movie for the parting of the Red Sea and the burning bush.
Well apparently the creators of the newest Spider-Man movie hope to go back to originality and more "practical effects".
"Holland believes this return to practical effects is needed for a franchise that many fans have described as lacking originality. He called the change a “breath of fresh air” and said, “fans are gonna be over the moon with what we’re putting together.”
You can read the full interview here: bleedingfool.com/movies-tv-film/spider-man-4-swing…
I for one am glad they are trying embrace practical effects and less CGI.

Criterion Collection is having a 50% off sale this July. You can check it out at Barnes and Noble or Amazon. I've made a video on 10 that might be interesting to add to your collection. Some are favorites of mine and some are classics that might not be my favorite but you might like.
I also decided to try to narrate the video without using AI. I'm sorry it's clumsy and rather awful but I want to try to get to a point with this channel of being more authentic and not afraid to be my real self. I do love Old Hollywood movies, actors and actresses so hopefully I can continue to create more videos on topics I find interesting.

I invite anyone interested in Old Hollywood religious movies to check out my next offering. Everyone knows Ben-Hur and the Ten Commandments. Many have even heard of gems like Samson and Delilah and The Robe. But there are a few religious stories that were made back in the Golden Age of Hollywood that maybe tried to capitalize on the success of the big Epics, but for one reason or another, never got much audience fanfare. Some despite winning multiple Oscars sort of linger behind when folks think of religious movies.
I came up with a list of ten that I think deserve a visit in discussing religious movies from Old Hollywood. A couple like Song of Bernadette and the Keys to the Kingdom are really quite phenomenal.
Anyway, I hope you'll take a peek and let me know what you think.

Thanks to everyone who watched the "Parting of the Red Sea video I made. There are a ton of lovely comments in the comment section discussing their experience in watching the movie and what the scene meant to them. It's really quite humbling to see the engagement and views on that video.
Like they say, if you enjoyed that one, maybe try the next "How They Made" video. I did one on the burning bush.

Although not as spectacular as the parting of the Red Sea scene, they still required practical effects.
Just an amazing movie all around. Thanks again for watching.
