Hey everyone,

You might know I've been working hard to try and finish the first drafts of the final Sultry Solstices short stories this month. There's seven total and I was trying to wrap up #3 when the month started.

I've got good news and bad news. The good news is I'm on #7 as far as the main story goes. The bad news is I still have to go back and finish the epilogues on #4 onward since the epilogues were all intros to the main characters in the next stories.

I also have to figure out what to do for the epilogue of #7. I could use it to wrap up the series, but if I do that, which character should I follow? I could also use it to introduce the character that will be the starter for the next series in the same universe. I don't know. Would love to know your thoughts if you have any!

Because of this, I've gotten behind on video editing. There won't be a vlog today. I actually only filmed 2 clips last week and they were both less than 5 min long.

I think I'm going to take the rest of the month off for videos and vlogs and start clean next month. You'll still catch me in streams twice a week: a gaming and chatting one Thursday evening and a productivity stream Saturday evening, but no new vlogs or videos. Not yet. Soon. Hopefully with good news!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that today's video is going to be late. Later today or early tomorrow, I'm uncertain at the moment. It's been a bit of a rough week motivation-wise. There's been spell slots available for some tasks, but not others, and (unfortunately) one of the tasks I haven't had spell slots for is YouTube. Video filming and editing. I've gotten lots of videos scripted! I just haven't really felt like turning on the camera for more than a couple minutes at a time (vlog time) basically.

So I'm bulk filming a few videos today, including the one that was supposed to go live today, and I'll edit them a little at a time from there. I've also shifted some of my videos around, but more to come on that in a future post. For now, I'm going to try to get a video out today, but it might be tomorrow.

Remember to take care of yourself. Get rest and stay hydrated.

On Saturday, I attempted another 12-hour marathon, and it went EXTREMELY well! My plan was to write the first 5 chapters of the first draft of SS#5: Isolated Tranquil.

I ended up writing almost 6 chapters (I was too tired and loopy to finish the last couple of paragraphs of that 6th chapter) and 8,694 words total for the day.

More about it in tomorrow’s vlog! Keep an eye out!

Thank you to everyone who joined me for this month’s 12-hour marathon. I’m really looking forward to the next one, which will be at the end of next month to coincide with the quarter’s 7-Day Book Challenge. More to come later!

This weekend, Steph and I are going to tackle another 12-hour marathon. We’re changing it up though.

Join me and ‪@stephaniemwhitson‬ for another 12-Hour marathon Saturday, 16 May 2026. We’re shifting it to daytime hours though.

If you haven’t joined us before, we don’t stream for 12-hours straight, but split it into two 6-hour streams with an hour break between. We’ll start on Stephanie’s channel at 11 AM MST (10 AM PST/12 PM CST/1 PM EST) and stream for 6 hours. Then we’ll take our usual hour-long break before we hop over to my channel at 6 PM (5 PM PST/7 PM CST/8 PM EST) for another 6 hours.

This month is a catch-up month in a lot of ways.

I’m catching up on editing stories. I’m catching up on videos. All of the catching up!

Here’s what May’s schedule is looking like for those curious.

MONDAYS will continue being community posts like this one.

TUESDAYS will be author vlogs that follow me across the week prior.

THURSDAYS will have two posts. In the morning will be a themed video following a specific topic—if there’s something you’d like me to talk about, feel free to drop it in the comments—while the evening will be devoted to a chatty gaming stream where we relax and chat while I play a game.

SATURDAYS will be productive live streams where we get all the work done!

SUNDAYS will be for Craft Symposium uploads. Usually these would be once a month, but I’m behind and playing catch-up, so there’ll be one every week this month. Also, if you’d like to see past craft symposium books as videos rather than live streams, let me know.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted you to know, my vlog will go live either late this evening or tomorrow at some point. We're still at the hotel where my husband is taking a pool and spa class for work (Mini retreat!) and I've been having trouble connecting to their internet well enough to download clips.

I finally got them to download (it was completely a user error with the internet, which explains a lot 😅), but I haven't had a chance to edit them yet. Soon!

It’s time to choose a new craft symposium book! I know I’m behind on filming, editing and uploading the videos, but I don’t want to get behind on the books because it will take me longer to read them than film and upload videos about them.

I will be posting the missing craft symposium videos throughout the next couple of months. One every two weeks (maybe sooner), but in the meantime, here’s our possible choices for May’s pick.
