This little white Dub Bugger has caught smallmouth bass, trout, largemouth bass, and northern pike while fishing Ohio creeks. It's one of my go-to flies for spring and has earned a permanent spot in my fly box.

The Drop Minnow is one of those simple confidence patterns that just flat out produces. It shines in spring, early summer, and again in late fall when fish are keying in on bait.
Absolutely deadly on creek smallmouth, but don’t sleep on it—largemouth eat it just as aggressively.
