Women come to me in my practice with so many questions — about fibroids, hysterectomies, hormones, and GYN surgery — and I realized the answers they needed weren't easy to find in one place.
So I built this channel to change that.
I'm Dr. Jessica Chandler, a board-certified, fellowship-trained gynecologic surgeon and menopause certified specialist. My goal is to answer the questions I hear most from my patients and give women the evidence-based information they need to make informed decisions about their health — because the right answer looks different for every woman.
This is a space to get real information and feel confident walking into your next appointment.

You planned the year. The trip, the budget, the goals.
What would it look like if you planned your preventive care the way you planned your vacation? Stick with me.
Start with your numbers.
Blood pressure.
Hemoglobin A1C.
A full lipid panel.
Then tell your provider your history.
Preeclampsia.
Gestational diabetes.
Preterm delivery.
Early menopause (final menstrual period before the age of 45)
PMOS (formerly PCOS)
Cardiology now counts all of it when calculating your risk. Most women are never asked about any of it.
And while you're scheduling, get preventive exams and cancer screenings on your calendar: your cervical cancer screening, your colon cancer screening starting at 45, and your breast cancer screening—the conversation starts at age 40.
Not because a number defines you.
Because during the perimenopausal transition, those numbers climb without a single symptom, and cardiovascular disease remains the number one killer of women.
Pick a day. Make the calls. Schedule the appointments.

Menopause isn't an age.
You've reached menopause after going 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period.
Think of the ocean as that new stage—and the rocks as a warning that something has changed.
If bleeding begins again after menopause, don't ignore it. Postmenopausal bleeding should be evaluated by your gynecologist.
🌊 Know what's normal.
🪨 Know when something has changed.
