The City of Ottawa Streets Department will be reducing traffic to one lane on 10th Street between Hanes Drive and Maple Street beginning Thursday, April 30, while crews investigate a storm drain issue in the area.
Our Utility Department will also be assisting with their vac truck to help complete the work safely and efficiently.
Please use caution when traveling through the area, watch for crews and equipment, and allow for possible delays.

City of Ottawa Announces Christmas Tree Drop-Off Location
The City of Ottawa, Kansas, is offering a convenient drop-off location for residents to properly dispose of their natural Christmas trees following the holiday season.
Christmas trees may be dropped off at the City’s brush pile located on West 2nd Street, past Hope Cemetery, near the 2nd Street Dam. The site is open to the public, allowing residents to drop off their trees at a time that is convenient for them.
Please note that this drop-off location is for naturally grown Christmas trees only. Artificial trees are not accepted. All trees must be completely stripped of decorations and free of plastic, tinsel, lights, stands, or other non-organic materials prior to drop-off.
