පිරමීඩවල සැබෑ අරමුණ ගැන විවාද කරන බොහෝ න්‍යායන් ඇත, නමුත් එය කුෆු(Khufu) රජුගේ සොහොන් ගෙයක් ලෙස ඉදිකරන ලද බව බොහෝ දෙනා විශ්වාස කරයි. පුරාණ ඊජිප්තුවරුන් විශ්වාස කළේ ඔවුන්ගේ රජු මිය ගිය විට ඔහුගේ ආත්මයේ කොටසක් ඔහුගේ ශරීරය තුළ පවතිනු ඇති බවයි. 💫



ගීසා හී මහා පිරමීඩ හුදෙක් දැකීමට පමණක් වු දර්ශනයක් නොවේ - ඒවා ගණිතමය ආශ්චර්යයක් ද වේ! ඉතිහාසඥයින්ට සහ විද්වතුන්ට අනුව, එහි මිනුම් සහ සැලසුම් පයිතගරස් ප්‍රමේයය, ස්වර්ණමය අනුපාතය සහ pi යන සංකල්ප මූර්තිමත් කරයි. (Pythagorean Theorem, the Golden Ratio, and pi) ✨🔥

ගණිතය සහ විද්‍යාව මඟින් පෘථිවිය ගෝලාකාර බව සොයා ගැනීම 🌎

ඉතා දිගු කලක පටන් මිනිසුන් විශ්වාස කළේ පෘථිවියේ හැඩය පැතලි බවයි. ඒ පෘථිවිය වටකුරු බව විද්‍යාඥයන් සහ ගණිතඥයන් ඔප්පු කරන තුරුය. 🎯

ඊජිප්තුවේ ඇලෙක්සැන්ඩ්‍රියාවට දකුණින් පිහිටි නගරයක් වන සයේන්(Syene) , ගිම්හානයේදී මධ්‍යහ්නයේ සිරස් සෙවණැලි නොවැටෙන බව එරතොස්තනීස්(Eratosthenes) අසා තිබුණි. ඔහු මෙය ඇලෙක්සැන්ඩ්‍රියාවේදී ද සත්‍යයක් වීමට​ හැකි දැයි ඔහු කල්පනා කළේය.

අත්හදා බැලීමක් ලෙස ඔහු පොළවේ සැරයටියක් සිටුවා දහවල් කාලයේදි සෙවණැල්ලක් වැටේදැයි බලා සිටියේය. සෙවනැල්ලක් තිබුණු බවට ඔහුට පෙනූනි. හිරු කිරණ දවසේ එකම කෝණයකින් හා එකම කාලයකින් පැමිණෙන්නේ නම් සහ ඇලෙක්සැන්ඩ්‍රියාවේ දී සිටවු සැරයටියට​ සෙවනැල්ල වැටෙන අතර සයේන් හි සැරයටියට නොමැති නම්, මෙයින් අදහස් කරන්නේ පෘථිවි පෘෂ්ඨය වක්‍ර වී ඇති බව ඔහු නිගමනය කළේය.

ත්‍රිකෝණමිතිය(Trigonometry) භාවිතා කරමින් ඔහු නගර දෙක අතර එකම වේලාවක සහ දිවා කාලයේ සූර්යයා කෙතරම් ඉහළට නැඟී ඇත්දැයි මැනීය​. ඔහුගේ ක්‍රමය සරල​​ වුවද පෘථිවියේ වට ප්‍රමාණය මැනීමට ඔහු සමත් විය. ☑️

එරතොස්තනීස් සහ අනෙකුත් විද්‍යාඥයින්ගේ සොයාගැනීම් අද අපේ ග්‍රහලෝකය කුමක්ද යන්න පිළිබඳ අපගේ දැනුම හැඩගස්වා ගැනීමට උපකාරී වී ඇත. 😊
