Faith in Politics

Eileen Carter began a radio show in 2013 on WBOK called the Good Life. In 2017, she left & became the 1st social media manager of New Orleans (2018-2021) & then the Lord called her number as a seer. Life definitely changed as she accepted her calling. When you are called, you are called. And those that know, know & she led a recall and ran for mayor!

So "Faith in Politics Today" was birthed, ten years later in 2023 & now she is sharing information she learned along the way.

Eileen grew up in a Catholic political family in New Orleans that had relationships in the DNC from local to national levels & she always just followed along. Well, when you mix community activism with the Holy Spirit, you get more than what you bargained. Don't try to box her in, it doesn't work anymore. She left the Catholic faith in 2015, was saved and baptized and recently left the Democratic Party. Eileen is a registered No Party & a Christian Believer in Jesus Christ. Support $FaithInPolitics

EPISODE 54: NEW ORLEANS RECEIVES THE FRUIT OF THEIR DEEDS - 📖 MICAH 7:4–17

Micah 7 speaks to a society experiencing corruption, broken trust, family conflict and the collapse of righteousness.

Micah says:

“The best of them is like a brier,
the most upright of them a thorn hedge.”

Then comes the warning:

“The day of your watchmen, of your punishment, has come; now their confusion is at hand.”

⚠️ A DAY OF ACCOUNTABILITY.
⚠️ A DAY OF PUNISHMENT.
⚠️ A DAY OF JUDGMENT.

Micah describes a society where trust had deteriorated. Even the family structure was breaking down:

Put no trust in a neighbor; have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your arms; for the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

This was bigger than individual wrongdoing. It was a separation of good from evil hearts.

Micah was describing the condition of a society.

And then comes the statement that should make us stop:

“The earth will be desolate because of its inhabitants, for the fruit of their deeds.”

THE FRUIT OF THEIR DEEDS.

Micah’s warning reminds us: There comes a time when the deeds are examined and the fruit is revealed.

🕊️ NEW ORLEANS 🗣️ THE DAY OF ATONEMENT — YOM KIPPUR: September 20–21, 2026 - Keep the feasts!

The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) begins at sundown Sunday, September 20 and ends at nightfall Monday, September 21.

đź“– Hebrew Date: 10th of Tishrei, 5787
⏳ Duration: Approximately 25–26 hours

Yom Kippur is a solemn day of atonement, repentance, prayer, fasting, and reflection.

For those observing, it traditionally includes complete abstinence from food and drink and a time of deep examination before God.

Leviticus 23:27 says:

> “Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement. It shall be for you a time of holy convocation, and you shall afflict yourselves…”

In a season when New Orleans is being called to examine its ways, this is a powerful reminder:

God calls His people to examine themselves, turn from sin, seek Him, and return to righteousness.

🕊️ Atonement begins with acknowledging what is wrong.
Repentance requires turning from it.
And restoration begins with God.

🚨 NEW ORLEANS — THE NUMBER CHANGED BY $16M - Got residents playing the “Price Is Right”... So what happened to the rest? 🤔 @helenamorenola @cityofnola

The administration initially floated a $42 MILLION property-tax increase.

Now?

Helena Moreno’s administration says it plans to seek approximately $26 MILLION by rolling forward only the millages tied to the city’s General Fund.

So what happened to the other $16 million?

According to special counsel Andrew Tuozzolo, the $42 million represented what the city could receive if it rolled forward all millages under City Council control, including millages connected to entities such as City Park and the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The administration now says it will pursue a narrower roll-forward.

📌 HERE’S WHAT RESIDENTS NEED TO KNOW:

🏠 4.51 mills could be rolled forward for the General Fund.

đź’° A $300,000 home with a homestead exemption could see approximately $112 more per year if the full 4.51 mills are approved.

✂️ The administration says departmental cuts will cover about two-thirds of the roughly $100 million 2027 budget gap.

đź’µ New revenue would cover approximately the remaining third.

âž• Permit fee increases and higher nightly short-term-rental fees are expected to generate another $7 million.

🏀 NORD is currently NOT on the chopping block, according to Mayor Moreno.

đź“… Moreno is expected to present the details of the proposed tax increase and departmental cuts on September 22.

🗳️ A millage roll-forward requires 5 of 7 Council votes.

đź“… A public hearing is scheduled for November 5.

But here is the question New Orleans residents should be asking:

WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE PAYING FOR?

Before taxpayers are asked to pay more, residents deserve to see:

➡️ Every proposed cut
➡️ Every program potentially affected
➡️ Every new fee
➡️ Exactly where the $26 million will go
➡️ What services will be reduced or eliminated without the additional revenue
➡️ And the complete math behind the 2027 budget

The number changed so let’s see the numbers, the cuts and the plan.

Transparency isn’t asking too much. It’s the taxpayers’ money.

⚠️ THE INDICTMENT OF NEW ORLEANS — MICAH 6 & 7

New Orleans, Yahweh sees the injustice.
The corruption.
The manipulation and violence.
The dishonesty.

Then He asks:

“What does the LORD require of you, New Orleans?” — Micah 6:8

DO JUSTICE.
LOVE MERCY.
WALK HUMBLY WITH GOD.

When God’s ways are continually rejected, judgment follows. Rebellion = Witchcraft

🔥 MICAH 7 — THE CONDITION OF THE PEOPLE

“The godly has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among mankind.” — Micah 7:2

Micah describes a society where people lie in wait for blood and hunt one another like prey. Sound familiar New Orleans?

New Orleans isn’t “Loving Thy Neighbor”

Residents’ hands are skilled at evil and they gossip and tear their neighbors down.

“The prince and the judge ask for a bribe.”

The powerful speak the desires of their hearts, and “thus they weave it together.”

They lost the “Fear of the Lord”

Now comes the declaration to the city:

“The day of your watchmen, of your punishment, has come; now their confusion is at hand.” — Micah 7:4

Confusion released across New Orleans. Trust breaks down: Leaders. Neighbors. Friends. Families.

“A man’s enemies are the men of his own house.” — Micah 7:6

And then Micah looks beyond the people:

“The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might.”

New Orleans will tremble. New Orleans will come out of her strongholds.

They will turn “in dread to the LORD our God.”

👉MICAH 6 GIVES THE REQUIREMENT.
👉MICAH 7 REVEALS THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING IT.

God sees corruption.
God sees injustice.

And God is not intimidated by human power. God created them too. đź‘€

REPENT.
RETURN TO GOD.
DO JUSTICE.
LOVE MERCY.
WALK HUMBLY.

“But as for me, I will look to the LORD.” — Micah 7:7

New Orleans are you ok? @davidhammerwwl is on case: RTA CEO SEARCH

The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is preparing to decide whether Mark Major, a former RTA deputy CEO, should be added back into the agency’s CEO search.

But there’s more to this story than the CEO position.

Major previously sued the RTA for $580,000 and his job back after alleging wrongful termination. He dropped the lawsuit in July so he could apply for the CEO position.

Now, questions are being raised about the process.

đź‘€ HERE ARE THE PLAYERS:

🔹 Mark Major — former RTA deputy CEO and current CEO candidate
🔹 Desiree Charbonnet — Major’s attorney, who says he had a “very strong case” for wrongful termination
🔹 Barbara Major — RTA commissioner and Mark Major’s former sister-in-law; she previously identified their relationship publicly and supported settling his lawsuit
🔹 Ann Duplessis — RTA Board Chairwoman, who opposed settling Major’s lawsuit and questioned the $580,000 demand
🔹 Helena Moreno — New Orleans Mayor, who asked the board to give “strong consideration” to qualified local candidates, particularly those with RTA experience
🔹 Lona Edwards Hankins — former RTA CEO, who Major sued after she allegedly told him to resign or be terminated; Hankins later filed her own lawsuit against the RTA
🔹 Justin Augustine — former RTA CEO and one of the candidates considered
🔹 Herold Humphrey — former Transdev executive and candidate
🔹 Bernard Jackson — current NYC Transit Authority chief operating officer and former finalist who withdrew
🔹 Reginald Mason — Greensboro Transit Agency CEO and candidate
🔹 Courtney Jackson — executive director of RIDE New Orleans, which withdrew from a planned public forum over concerns about transparency
🔹 Ronald Horn — transit union president, who asked Mayor Moreno to interview all five candidates

And the search firm?

🔹 KL2 Connects — the national search firm involved in evaluating the candidates.

The question is:

Was the process fair, transparent and consistent for EVERY candidate?

Why did @helenamorenola @cityofnola really write the letter? 🤔🍿

🚨 RECALLED CHURCH?👀 NEW ORLEANS CHURCH SOLD AT SHERIFF’S AUCTION

A New Orleans church has been sold to a bank at a sheriff’s auction.

Beacon Light Missionary Baptist Church on Mirabeau Avenue was sold for $1.53 million after filing for bankruptcy.

🏦 Liberty Bank purchased the property at the sheriff’s sale.

According to the report, some of the church’s creditors include Liberty Bank, Lexus, Entergy and Cox.

But there’s another important piece to this story…

🗳️ Beacon Light is a polling location.

The Orleans Parish Clerk of Court’s Office says that if a polling location becomes unavailable, officials will coordinate to secure a suitable location in or near the precinct and notify affected voters.

đź‘€ So what happens next?

And what does this mean for voters who normally cast their ballots at Beacon Light?

#PropheticWord: Leadership thinks they can control the information coming out and God is going to show them they ARE NOT IN CONTROL! You cannot fire the entire city and “new” information will be coming out of EVERYWHERE and they will feel like they are playing “whack-a-mole” more than running the city. Calamity after calamity is here by her choice…

Is this how you treat “your flock”?

Hey @helenamorenola: You cannot stop the will of God. @cityofnola: What was done in the dark will come to light. God will just prompt another person to speak up and the holes 🕳️ yall are digging for yourselves will only get deeper.

And we know many get themselves into more trouble when they try to cover stuff up… 🫣

But the city will watch it all play out unfortunately 🍿

God gave you time to repent and He sent you warnings… you prefer the hard way so God will deliver and it will hurt.

The mayor is fighting God at this point and I have never seen anyone try that and win - detrimental consequences.

REPENT. Remember the plagues? They will keep coming - God has all the time in the world - literally.
