Take a journey through time and discover the joy of Silent Film restored.
Launched February 11th 2023, the aim of the Silent Film Restoration Channel is to document our shared cinematic history and to create a YouTube channel where fans of silent film can view remastered/restored public domain silent films. We use Adobe Premiere to restore color and clarity to preserve these often overlooked historic films for future generations.
Be sure to subscribe to our channel and check in weekdays at Noon (EDT) and weeknights at 8:00 (EDT) as we post a newly restored short film! Every Sunday we will host a YouTube watch party to premiere a feature film at 8:00 (EDT) You can help us grow by subscribing, sharing our content with friends, giving a thumbs-up and leaving comments on our videos.
We also plan to create our own content consisting of "Silent Film Mash ups", "Best of Compilations" "Modern Day Inter-title Edits", and "Wacky Trailers"!

We're hard at work on our 2nd feature length restoration, Tangled Trails (1921). It's a crime drama set in Canada involving a Mountie attempting to track down a killer. There are numerous prints of this film on YouTube under the alternate title "Sands of Sacrifice", however, all are in poor condition. The first image below is the existing print. The second image shows the print after we applied gamma correction and B&W filters. The third image, after contrast and color filters, shows off even more detail. We're hoping to have this ready soon!

Calling all Mary Pickford fans! We have restored "All on Account of the Milk" an early Mary Pickford film from 1910. It will debut via YouTube live premiere this evening at 10:15PM (EDT). You will not believe how good this film looks. We believe that this film probably hasn't looked like this in nearly 100 years. We used the digital print from the USLOC as our raw source file. Check out the series of before and after pictures below!
