Robin Trower is an English rock guitarist who achieved success with Procol Harum during the 1960s, and then as Robin Trower Band power trio.
In 1962, Trower formed a group that became The Paramounts, later including fellow Southend High School pupil Gary Brooker. Trower then joined Brooker's new band Procol Harum in 1967, with whom he remained until 1972. Trower's breakthrough album was 1974's 'Bridge of Sighs' with James Dewar on bass and vocals. Robin Trower has been prolific in recording albums and in recent years albums such as 'Time and Emotion' (2017), Coming Closer to the Day (2019) showcasing his best guitar work. A recent 2020 'United State of Mind' project featured Maxi Priest on vocals and Livingstone Brown, quickly followed by 'Joyful Sky' featuring Sari Schorr on vocals.
