The visit underscored the importance of strengthening healthcare at every level, from specialised hospital services to community-based primary care. Discussions focused on improving accessibility, responsiveness and the quality of services for all.

Her interactions with patients, healthcare professionals and frontline workers provided valuable insights into local healthcare needs and reaffirmed the commitment to delivering accessible, responsive and people-centred healthcare across Daman.

India has strengthened interventions across the continuumโ€”from antenatal screening and Hepatitis B immunisation to free diagnosis and treatment, safe blood transfusion services, and counselling and rehabilitation support for people who inject drugs.
