Isha Ramji is a Zimbabwe-born, Australia-raised singer-songwriter of Indian heritage who blends R&B, pop, Afro and Bollywood influences into a sound that feels soulful and cinematic. She grew up surrounded by Bollywood films, Afro rhythms and Portuguese music from her parents’ life in Africa, and songwriting became her way of turning emotion into something anyone can connect to.
At 15 she started formal singing lessons, and by 19 she released her debut single Crime after earning four “yeses” and a spot in the Top 30 on Australian Idol. Her inspirations range from Beyoncé and Zara Larsson to Tyla, Bob Marley, Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.
In 2025 she returns with Beautiful Mess, a track that mixes R&B pop melodies with Afro house rhythms and Bollywood-style flute and classical riffs. Earlier this year she performed at Palms at Crown in Melbourne for 800 people. Isha is now working on new music inspired by her mother’s Portuguese roots, adding another layer to her global sound.
