Carter Benjamin is an indie/alternative artist
blending folk, gospel, soulful rock, and ballads.
Born in Grand Cayman and raised in Washing-
ton, D.C., Carter grew up in a family of pastors
and musicians. He moved to Los Angeles in
2018, releasing his debut single “Hills,” hon-
oring the resilience of Black women in his life.
Since then, he has independently released
three EPs and his debut album, Black Boys on
the Radio Part II. Carter’s mission is to
instigate change through authentic stories
of identity, resilience, and belonging.
