Born in Transylvania but destined for the American blues tradition, Alex Kilroy is a soulful guitarist and singer-songwriter whose lifelong pursuit of musical freedom has taken him across the globe. After trading his classical piano training for blues guitar upon discovering Stevie Ray Vaughan, a teenage Kilroy quickly found himself fronting tribute bands and opening for legends like Lucky Peterson.
Now based in the U.S. after earning a Berklee scholarship and hustling his way onto the stage at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago, Kilroy is stepping fully into his own sound. His debut album, Break My Chains, blends blistering guitar work with deeply personal, modern melodic songwriting. Dedicated to his late father, the project is a triumphant statement about breaking mental patterns, honoring your roots, and claiming your own destiny.
