I'm Henri β 59, US Marine Corps veteran, photographer, baker. Born in the Philippines, left during martial law at six. Raised on Guam, where I spent most of my life in my family's bakery.
I've been behind a camera for nearly 50 years. Black and white portraiture is where my real work lives. I shoot professional models, I document life, and I tell stories that don't always have a clean ending.
Bought my aunt's bakery in Daly City because whether I liked it or not, the work runs in my blood.
My wife Lyn is 29 years younger than me. I am what my friend calls a reverse passport bro β a Filipino man who went west, built a life there, and is now building his way back home.
This channel is the process. How I shoot, how I see, and the life around all of it. The Filipino perspective nobody else in this space is telling. The last intentional decade before Lyn and I retire to the Philippines, build a cafΓ©, and put my photographs on the walls.
