I was born in the Philippines and grew up in Australia. I was once denied a job because they assumed I couldn't speak English well based on how I look. So, I proved them wrong with a Perfect Band 9 in IELTS Speaking, along with Band 9 for all 4 speaking marking criteria.
I’ve taught English across Australia, Asia, and Latin America, studied at top universities (UCL, UNSW, USYD), and worked in Ed-Tech and memory science, including with Gabriel Wyner (Fluent Forever).
