My father joined the Air Force at the young age of 19, with his first deployment taking him to Vietnam shortly after he graduated high school. He was stationed in Da Nang, where he served with great courage and was later honored with the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. Over a distinguished career that lasted more than 23 years, he worked as a Security Policeman and in Civil Engineering (Prime BEEF), earning the prestigious Paul W. Airey Patriotism Award, named after the first Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force. He retired from the USAF on September 1, 1992, and his beloved 1970 Dodge Charger, which he bought at 23 in his Prime Beef colors of black and yellow, was left to me in his will. I discovered this after his passing, and now it is my mission to restore his car and honor his legacy, bringing it back to life as a tribute to my father.
