Joao Scognamiglio Clá Dias, EP

Founder of the International Association of Faithful Heralds of the Gospel, of the Clerical Society of Apostolic Life Virgo Flos Carmeli and of the Feminine Society of Apostolic Life Regina Virginum, all of Pontifical Right, Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, EP, was born in Brazil. From a young age, he dedicated himself to serving the Catholic Church, in the institution founded by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, from whom he received a solid doctrinal and spiritual formation that guided the course of his life. Ordained a priest in 2005, he was also an honorary canon of the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major. Pope Benedict XVI conferred upon him, through the hands of Cardinal Franc Rodé, the medal “Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice”, in recognition of his work in favor of the Church and the Papacy. He published several works that achieved large circulation on several continents. Monsignor João passed away on November 1, 2024, leaving a great spiritual legacy.
