Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan - Official
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan (Punjabi, Urdu: فردوس عاشق اعوان, born 11 January 1970) is a Pakistani physician and politician from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. She is currently serving as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting, in office since 18 April 2019. Dr. Awan started her political career from election 2002. She was elected the first time in 2002 to the National Assembly from NA-286. In 2008, she was again elected to the National Assembly from NA-111-Sialkot-II. After being elected she was appointed as Minister for Population Welfare. She was later given the portfolio of Information Ministry.
