Crazy Horse Chronicles

Crazy Horse Chronicles brings you inside the world of the Great Sioux War and the Battle of the Little Bighorn—not simply as a battle summary, but as an immersive journey through the people, places, objects, and decisions that made the history.

Enter through Crazy Horse or Custer, a Lakota or Cheyenne eyewitness, a horse named Comanche, a steamboat on the Yellowstone, a tintype, a rifle cartridge, a newspaper story, or the politics unfolding in Washington. Every story opens another path into the larger historical environment.

Short cinematic “Dime Novels” recreate the lived moment. Companion podcasts and source-based deep dives explore logistics, politics, frontier photography, technology, mythmaking, and memory.

The project grew from my father’s 20-year effort to authenticate what may be the only photograph of Crazy Horse. AI assists with research and production, but the history is grounded in the documentary record.

Not just what happened—but how it felt to live through it.
