WHO IS RICHARD SMITH?
Since 2006, Richard Smith has taught tens of thousands of students around the world — of every age and skill level — how to play piano, bass, guitar, organ, and drums by ear.
He is the founder of Apostolic Praise School of Music (APSOM), an online music education platform built to help church musicians grow in their gift without years of trial and error. Through step-by-step video courses, live coaching, and one of the largest free chord sheet libraries available to gospel musicians, Richard has helped students move from complete beginners to confident, working musicians in their church and community.
Today, Richard is best known as a teacher of gospel and church music by ear, helping musicians master the chords, technique, and "feel" required to play with skill, confidence, and purpose.
