Desert Owl Forge

Hey everyone. Here is a blast from the past. I am working on several new videos and hope to get the fist one up this week. It takes about 2 hours of filming and setup and 5-6 hours of editing and uploading to make a 30 minute long video. So while that's happening please enjoy this photo. It was taken during the summer of 1999 at "Middelaldercentret" (The Medieval Center) in Sundby Lolland, Denmark. It is a fully hand built medieval village, living history museum and research center, open to the public (with an entry fee). You could volunteer and dress up and be the part of the attraction. In exchange you got accommodation and food. My friend Nikolaj Kovacs and his girlfriend, at the time, Camilla were working there, so we (me and my then fiance and now wife Frida) got in there and dressed up. I volunteered to do one day at the smithy. This picture shows Nikolaj and me (the kid with the long hair) forging a fire steel/striker. We took turns swinging the sledge hammer.
