As with my 2 kitties, I would wait a few days to asses its personality. I have Daisydemonhellcat, and Dolly. Daisy earned her name as a 4 week old kitten, mom died, and she tore my arm up practically hunting skills. Dolly was named because she was asleep and I thought shes just a doll laying there, so cute and sweet. I would name a cat adopted on Halloween the same way, and integrate a spooky name, if it fit

We tend to name cats more by what fits than the nearest holiday. That said we've had a pair that wandered into our yard around Halloween that we named Tabitha and Tarot.

Depends on the cat, but some good ones to consider for a Halloween cat are Pyewacket, Samhain, or Mombie.

I don’t think I’d use a different process than what we used when naming cats outside of Halloween. You have to find something that matches their personality. A few years ago, we adopted a whole litter of kittens. So, now we have: Inky — because he is a black cat with a small patch of white fur on his belly, and as an adult he is a long lanky boy Sooty — she is a black cat with a small white locket of fur on her chest, and a larger patch of white fur on her belly, and as an adult she is built like a furry brick Smudge — he is a grey cat who was just a tiny little smudge of a cat when we got them, and as an adult he is a hefty boy who desperately loves getting all kinds of rubbies and scritchies Mimi — she is a mostly black tuxedo and was the hardest to name, but when we realized that she was the princess of FOMO and all about the “me, me, me!” then her name became obvious
