Feybreak island is like half the size of the base games whole area, has a ton of meta pal introductions as well. Tides of terraria has a lot more QOL changes thatve enhanced gameplay and made the game less repetitive as well as new objectives to work toward

Tides of Terraria is the only reason I even picked the game back up after the launch

Gameplay-wise: ToT, as it kinda Twisted the base pal's meta, since the books got way easier to obtain and the surgery table made breeding less time-expensive Lore-wise: Feybreak, since ToT didn't added new lore at all

Tides of terraria is more main island stuff, so it just feels more present.

I had to go with Feybreak because of Splatterina. But the Jellies and Gloopie are just adorable. Plus I love ice chicken. I put it on all my freezers. I love Feybreak Island. Three of my bases are on Feybreak and the views are spectacular. With that said Tides has added so much cools stuff but the coolest thing is the drop rates. I was on the verge of pulling my hair out of work suitability books. But I had to run the Terraria dungeon 800+ times to get all the legendary gear. I'm still missing one legendary blueprint. Anyway I picked Feybreak but the Terraria update is honestly better.

Voting for Terraria. I love Feybreak Island, but I wish I could mine Hexo Quartz in peace for like 3 minutes without a Gildane, a Faleris, two Cryolinxes and a squad of Borderlands Psychos trying to smear me across the dirt for the crime of existing

Terraria Update add too much cool stuff, but in the end both updates are great. I hope they will add more and more

Both? They both introduced more quality of life and game changing mechanics

Feybreak better imo due to it filling in the lore and actually not crashing the game

As commented below: Feybeak : lots more stuff to discover and tons of extra gameplay. Tides of Terraria : makes the game overall easier to play. Imo Feybreak wins, but ToT is a nice twist to the game.

Feybreak has great lore and Bjorn is the type of antagonist I enjoy watching. But tides has flying swords as a pal and a weapin that summons flying swords. In in any fantasy (game or show) I've always enjoyed object manipulation/creation as a power, especially if the objects are medieval weapons of any kind. I already like medieval weapons, a character like Emiya, Fate Gilgamesh, Erza just reinforced the power for me 😂 And now Palworld is catering to my super specific niche in a medium I lik

I love tides of terreria, but feybreak had more end game content geared towards the level progression. Tides made it easier to grind all the end game content so not complaining. Im hoping that for the next major update they raise the cap to 75 and add enough end game content for it, extra oil rig, extra main island, 1 or 2 extra tower bosses, 2 or 3 extra raid bosses with unique mechanics , extra base stuff to reduce current grinds A few things in particular - I hope that make your inventory stack while at base 100, then an option to 'collect all eggs' and then an even bigger incubator that can hatch 100 eggs. And finally a bigger dissambly conveyor say 100 as well Just to make the grind quicker Lastly on the pal dimension storage would be a nice option to see 'send all pals on page' and a 'collect all pals on page'
