Of the stocks above, the popular tech names (PLTR, MSFT, NVDA and META) have lost an average 6% over the past month with PLTR down double-digits 13% over the period. The market is rethinking AI spending and valuations and investors are hesitating throwing more money at the theme. I think AI will without a doubt change our lives and these companies will lead but like the dot-com bust, we could see a selloff before that is finally proven.
💰 Meanwhile the rest of the market is still looking very attractive. Shares of UNH are up 38% over the past month as medicare advantage insurers finally start to rebound after a multi-year plunge. Energy stocks like Valero Energy, up 21%, are bouncing off oversold conditions and even drugmakers like Eli Lilly (+20%) are rebounding.
