Guided by this question: How to reawaken childlike wonder within each of us?
With an intention and deep commitment to embody this message beyond the ego mind, I have been diving deeply into my own psyche (light and shadows) and started to do daily reflections, readings, researching, and most importantly, meditative dancing and beingness.
Through the podcast as a medium, I am also experiencing an accumulative impact from the conversations with all the beautiful guests in the past years (behind the scenes, I have been working intentionally slowly; I was only able to air half of them, and I am on schedule to air the other half gradually as new conversations are also being recorded).
Before I knew it, I had embarked on an adventure into spirituality.
Once I realized that, I hesitated to continue, because my mind would tell me, "Wait, spirituality is this new age thing...no scientific proof yet...lot of woo woos..." "Do you plan to let go of all the formal academic scientific training behind you and go into this spirituality thing? " "You don't even have a specific religion yet...how do you know that you're spiritual?" "What makes you qualified to go on this adventure?" "Is there a scientific method to validate or disvalidate if people say they are spiritual?"
Whenever my mind tries to play this domination game on me, I hug my mind with loving compassion and say gently, "Thank you for your care, and let's just pause for a bit."
Then I would feel my body gradually release this tension, and I could find my inner anchoring stillness with joy.
The intuition told me that there is some connection between "childlike wonder" and "spirituality' on a very deep level. (I have learned to respect and honor my quiet inner voice more nowadays.)
The fact is that spirituality is not woo-woo anymore. It is also not a religion.
According to Lisa Miller and her book "The Awakened Brain," we humans are universally equipped with a capacity for spirituality, and our brains become more resilient and robust as a result of it.
I will share gradually as I continue to search and re-search into this space.
