"How Metaphor ReFantazio Changed My Life" is now available for $5 Channel Supporters. It'll be out for everyone else within the next few days. It's a beefy one, clocking in at just over 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Did you play Metaphor? If so, what are your thoughts?

Probably my favorite atlus title I've enjoyed thus far. Personal top three next to P5R and digital devil saga. Order depends on the day

Closest thing to a 10/10 perfect game since Persona 3 for me. Beat it twice back to back for the 100%. I almost sat through maxing out every character as well but after 12 hours of grinding I said fuck it.

Oh hell yes, I've been excited for this one since launch. I don't have anyone to talk to about this game so I'm really chomping at the bit for this video.

I just finished getting through my second playthrough. It was a blast just like the first time. And it was fun picking up on all the early elements of the story that tie into the endgame stuff.

i liked metaphor a lot, but i haven't replayed it since i beat it like i do with persona and other Atlus games. there were just certain things about it that make me hesitate to play it again for some reason. i cant explain it.😅

I played it but started to fall off on the game during the part where I think you're breaking into Louis' forces and you're on a timelimit (I think it was a little bit after you reach the water city?). For whatever reason, I just stopped really caring for the story much and didn't feel compelled enough to deal with the timelimit that was given. Maybe there's a difference with how time progression is handled in Metaphor compared to Persona, but oddly enough, I've always felt like I had more control over my time in Persona and never truly felt the anxious feeling of not completing things on time compared to Metaphor. Anyways, I put the game on hold to focus on other things, and then my PS5 disc drive died. So that (plus moving to Japan) kinda stopped me entirely from continuing where I've left off. Kinda waiting for the inevitable Switch 2 version to be announced so I can restart all over again (unless I cave and just buy the PC version).

Honestly i sometimes forget that game exists. I liked the visuals, the "job" system, music and the journey. The lackluster and convoluted final stretch of the game was what made me loose interest. I was kinda disappointed that this game is fundamentally persona 5 with a new coat of paint.

Recently finished my second playthrough. Absolute masterpiece! Only flaws I have is a bit of repetitive grinding to max archetypes and some of the later dungeons are kinda just okay or have a bit of repetitiveness (The Dragon Temple in particular was annoying and repetitive, especially on a second playthrough). Otherwise, everything else is solid. A solid game and a great metaphor on fantasy and anxiety, and why stuff like prejudice exists in the first place. And accepting the reality that a utopia devoid of discrimination is a world we can never have, but is a world still worth fighting for.
