The amount of people in the comments ignoring the word 'dogfight' is crazy

At the very least the F22 actually exists on full capability and is not just "good on paper"

If an F-22 is in a dogfight, the pilot fucked up

The F-22 doesn't dog fight. It eliminates threats before they are even detected. It would hit the other plane before the other plane even knew it was under attack.

The f22 isn't meant for dogfighting. It's an air dominance fighter, meant to take over an enemy airspace by elimination of air assets beyond visual range and evading detection from ground assets. Which will be taken out by f35/b2 ground strikes. Both then supported by f15/16/18 depending on environment and availability/requirement. Su57 is a vanity project. And Russia is reduced to launching missiles from behind its borders... The only question is how long will Russian pilots last in the air. If they even make it up there.

The Su-57 can't be shot down if it never leaves the ground π

Growling Sidewinder already demonstrated this more than once.

I donβt think either of these things lands are really meant for traditional dogfighting. An F16 stomps the F22 in a close air combat fight

Unfortunately, the SU-57 is only stealthy from the front, like the F-35. Plus, the F-22's fly in pairs, so if the SU's do their extreme maneuvers, the wingman will get the target, and the SU's pilot would know that the wingman was there!

this is the equivalent of a 1v1 btween a sniper vs a meta smg on shipment

I would think the 27 would be splashed long before any dogfighting took place. If they are dogfighting I will give it to the better pilot. In war games 22s have lost to other planes.
