I'm okay with the increased budget. It's not a permanent thing. The border crisis and illegal immigration are a more urgent problem that has to be handled sooner. Can't fix everything at once. ICE has been doing great work. They just raided a marijuana farm that was using child slaves.

I retired from serving 20 years in the US Armed Forces just over a year ago with several deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, part of the generation that was eager to avenge America and protect freedom and stand with our friends around the world who sacrificed to come to our aid. Turns out when you've spent decades honing skills, experience, and education that the private sector is eager to hire you to do the same job, so I spent last April looking up at the sky in the Jordanian desert as we intercepted hundreds of one-way drones headed towards Israel and was one of the last personnel to cross the gate at Al Udeid just an hour before the Iranians tried to hit it with missiles last month. Long before then and before I served, I was a fan of science fiction and fantasy and a fan of Star Wars. SF and SW has always been political. It has always been politically aware and important part of our cultural consciousness. My generation grew up reading and watching decades of the best writes, the best filmmakers, the best storytellers, and they warned us. We were given an ample education. Those who, as children, saw Padme Amidala say, "So this is how democracy dies, with thunderous applause" can now say they are living in the world the fiction predicted could be our fate. I love America and come from a family who built their success from nothing but hard work, determination, resilience, and taking advantage of the opportunities of liberty. 40 years ago, we came to America with less than $300 and were so poor that we spent hours picking okra all day and slept in a run-down camper built for 1-2 people. The most damning truth I can tell you is that America is becoming the kind of country my family escaped from and the kind of story and success my family achieved will no longer be possible in the kind of nation America is becoming. We know what is happening. We know what will happen next. We were warned and we are still being warned loudly. I just happened to see an advertising from ICE yesterday on a forum focused on linking veterans with employers - "YOUR EMPIRE NEEDS YOU!" should have been on the poster.

Alan, I'm sure you will see many other comments echoing this message, but my respect for you has only increased because of this. I respect that you are willing to share your voice and concerns using the platform you have created for yourself, even if it is to your personal detriment, to advocate for ideas you support and to express concern for the destructive actions of this administration. While I am sure I do not agree with you in all things, I appreciate your value for your own morals outweigh the value of "an ideal business" or whatever by avoiding talking about this. Huge kudos to you for supporting what you believe in, and using your platform to express it, even at the potential determinant of this channel.

This makes ICE the largest law enforcement agency in the United States (if ICE were a military force it would be in the top 10 military forces in the world). The total amount allocated for ICE is around 170 billion dollars which is supposed to last until 2029. Interestingly enough the number seems to mirror the 180 billion dollars that will be cut from SNAP (food stamps) in the next decade but will fall sort of the nearly 500 Billion dollars in projected Medicare cuts. I will benefit from Trump's big beautiful bill, but I wonder how I will enjoy my tax savings, when the entire country collapses because of the shortsightedness of this administration. But yeah lets do mercantilism, isolationism and nativism (which is wild for a country of immigrants who took land from native americans).
I understand a lot of people hate that i'm talking about politics and mention how its bad for my youtube channel. And I agree, from a business stand point this is really stupid, I'm alienating my MAGA viewers who I have really tried hard to engage. So why would i self sabotage my channel, hurt my revenue to just upset supporters of Trump. Well maybe its because I actually genuinely care about you guys.
Why do you think for years instead of just reading lore off wookiepedia, or just complaining about the Last Jedi, I'm trying to connect Star Wars to the real world? We all need to pay attention to what's going on out there, whether you're a conservative, liberal, moderate, whatever you are what is happening in our country is not normal. We are about to cross a point of no return.
