Need For Speed Underground 2 was absolute Peak. It came out at the exact time where tune up car and street racing, with the og fast and furious movies around it. Was absolutey amazing. I got to truly live out the dream of pimping up Peugeot 106 and finishing off the game with my ultimate dream car Nissan Skyline. No other even came close to a true street racing game.

That very first Hot Pursuit game was absolutely addictive and new when it came out. It was the first time I thought "Wow, a racing game where you can run from the cops, or be a cop in a ridiculous police car chasing criminals? Genius." And sure enough, GTA III came out years later and totally brought that feeling back. I desperately hope that the vehicle missions(paramedics, police, taxi, etc.) will be back for GTA VI. I spent way more time chasing down crooks and playing taxi driver than the main game, at least as much time, and of course got the Blood Taxi. Also Stunt Jumps, why are those gone, they were so awesome to discover, seeing a cleverly placed ramp and thinking to yourself "I bet that's a stunt jump," pulling it off and seeing that cinematic camera angle, awesome feeling

Blackbox, Underground 2 specifically. It was my favorite childhood game, and it still holds up today imho! The customization, the music. The sounds (many of which were from the 2fast2furious movie, my favorite movie for that reason lol), it just screams 2000s jdm tuner culture! Id pay whatever EA asked if they ever remastered this game (and did it right)

Black box all day! I hope we can find our way back to this feeling in a racing game again.

I used to play Need for Speed 2 SE with my cousins in my childhood. Now I am 19 and I still play this game with my family, I will even pass this game to my kids.(I hope at that time the PC could run such a small game)

3do era, nothing like seeing that game running for the first time especially after logging hours on road rash on the Genesis, my young mind was blown getting to see the future in real-time. It was purely 6 7.
