I found your music yesterday and have been obsessed with you since. You are honoring not only your grandma but all the ancestors so well. My family were/are some of the Choctaw of Mississippi. I feel them when I hear your music. I am in a transitional phase right now where I don’t have a job but when I tell you I am getting your album, I am getting it and playing it for my daughters. Grandma Cora, you are the reason Mississippi is home. The reason we speak to strangers driving by on a two lane road. The reason I grew up singing in a small, CME church choir, in Eudora, MS. Thank you for making this land, this state, with its bloody & painful history, home. It should’ve been bitter, but you gave us family, and made it sweet.
