After Astrobot won last year, I wouldn’t put it past them to vote for DK Bananza. That being said my top two favorites are Expedition 33 and silksong.

KCD 2 is the second best game this year and is genre defining in many aspects. But I am also happy that they focused on the core audience and not worrying about casuals. It may not win awards but it has passionate fans.

I see people talk about shows or movies that rewire your brain and silksong was it for me. It made me rethink my pov on game design/direction and from minute 1 I was hooked. Even when there were times I felt the difficulty was a little too brutal, in retrospection, I realized it was usually down to my experience and not being prepared for certain boss/enemy encounters. There are very few flaws in the game for me and is easily my GOTY.

I really KCD2 to win. It was so funny and such a pain in the ass in certain ways! But the voice acting was provably my favourite!

It’s gonna be expedition 33. I only really trust the steam awards since that’s 100% votes. Problem is that console exclusives aren’t options.
