Piece of Pie Software

I often consider if I should change the format of my YouTube video titles...
Since the start, my format has been like "Drak's Gaming - Game Name [Part#]". But 99% of the time, I see others lay it out more like "Game Name [Ep#] - Drak's Gaming", or something. I imagine there's a good reason for that, probably so that it's straight to the point; the first thing you see is what game it is.
I dunno. Might start doing that next year? But at the same time, I wonder if it's really worth it after having the same format for over 17 years... The "Drak's Gaming" might be the identifier for some people, though the channel icon and name also shows, which should be enough on its own?

Maybe I just won't touch it. What am I hoping for, that this one simple change would make my channel explode in popularity or something? I think I'm just overthinking, feeling like I need to change things so it doesn't stagnate, when there's no need to change it at all.

I personally don’t pay much attention to the titles. As for those who see your videos come up in their suggested feeds, I don’t think it would make much difference as to whether they click or not.

I'd say stick with Drak's Gaming at the beginning of the title, it attracts the viewers and they immediately acknowledge that it's a new content creator wanting to reach out to an audience. It's the effect it had on me way back when in the early years I started watching your videos.

I think keeping your current title format is the best way forward. After all these years using it, has it not become part of your channels identity? It gives your channels video titles some uniqueness to have your name within it and represents what's going on more firmly. Which is... your experience playing a game... as opposed to... just the game being played.

I dont think it matters much. Thumbnails have way more influence on the click than the title. Your thumbnails are clearly communicating what game is being played. I apologize for not having anything more useful. Id change the thumbnails but I dont know how. I would try showing gameplay ( so that not every thumbnail for the playlist is the same for a whole game ) but its hard to really say if it would help or be worth it. I know the play is to show the face and make a dumb surprised face, but I despise that kind of selling out and manipulation so much. I watch your videos because I know who you are. Ive watched since fear. "Im safe next to the dead bloke!" around the time you were doing bioshock 1. Presentation is worth thought, but there is a point of diminishing returns.
