I used my ps2 as a dvd player all the time but since I got a PS3 and ps5 I now used them as a dvd player

Honestly, back when it came out, it made more sense to buy a ps2 over a DVD player. They weren't too far off in price, and you get way more value out of a ps2

For some reason my fat ps2 doesn't read DVDs, CDs, or even PS1 games. Just Ps2 games
