i’ve always just been curious about what assimilation looked like from hellenistic to persian, like seleucid to parthian, I know parthians were hellenistic in some respects, just the flow of culture and cultural identity in the world is so fascinating like how the franks became the french, roman’s italian, I only ever hear (perhaps being in the anglosphere) about the cultural history of england which is certainly fascinating with all the moving people groups but this stuff happened all over the place

I saw that Pierre Briant book at my local bookstore in northern France, it costs 80 euros, hopefully I'm able to save enough by the end of the year to buy it, that's one expensive book.
