Well, if the soft plastics keep coming in, that would be my choice. But if the SHTF and I only had one lure on me for the rest of my days, it would probably be a spoon because it will last longer.

Top water all day. I can go weeks without a bite but even one surface strike makes it all worth it

Spoons are pretty good cause you can cast heavier ones a mile and they still have a pretty small profile.

Not fair! I catch more with soft plastic but top water is more fun.

I can fish tiny spoons for small fish and bait. 1/4 and 1/2 oz spoons for bass, crappie, white bass, and drums. 1 oz spoons for redfish, and 2 oz spoons for monster fish like tarpons! Soft plastics is another similarly great choice!

Definitely a shallow diver hard plastic jerkbait. More expensive but is much less likely to get ripped apart by sharp teeth and jaws. Also works just as well as soft plastics where I fish.

Ive seen this as " hard baits" in general and soft plastics still OBLITERATED it. Spoon is near and dear to my heart but cmon

The spoon for me because I can fish it all year around and fish it in different water columns in saltwater Pier fishing 🎣

If I have to also stay in the same area forever it is 2" ned rig shrimp. Catches everything by me but might be different somewhere else.

Spoon, the pinfish here in the Panhandle are crazy they'd eat my wallet in soft plastics as much as I like to fish them.

You can fish about any water with soft plastics. I get most of what I fish for with them
