@lrrerh8090

Conservatives in 2020: the government has no right in building a pipeline. Conservatives in 2025: great idea!

@RudolphoAqui

She was a lobbyist for oil companies before being elected as premier, and she still is a lobbyist for oil companies! She probably wants Alberta taxpayers to fund the pipeline for the rich oil companies

@TheBlindPariah

Don't they already have an expensive pipeline that they always fail to mention, which is not being utilized to full capacity?

@michaelpennington7345

Danielle Smith your pipeline idea is going no where because no one wants to fund your stupid idea right now in Canada & in British Columbia.

@johntpankiw

Albertan politicians should start asking themselves "what would Ralph do?" Invest in R&D?, pay down debt? Trickle up economics? Couldnt be more different..

Funny, i thought 'smith' was going to 'spearhead' the 'new pipeline' through a province where she's just another tourist. Or, that's what she's pretending to the folks back home. So, really, she's submitting a request. Asking if she's going to be given permission. Just so everyone's clear on it.πŸ˜‚

If you want to build a pipeline through BC and ship oil through ecologically sensitive areas, be prepared to pay. BC must receive long-term financial benefits from such pipelines. We will not let you build at our expense for your benefits. Besides, Smith's dreams of India and China are just that: dreams. Oth those countries can get heavy sour crude from sources closer to them and at lower shipping prices. Fra kly, we do not want our environment to suffer so that Albertans can benefit.

@Enetrebrab

It’s not viable. She wants to meet 8 million barrels a day, think Saudi level production. From the tar sands, the water needed and pipeline to accommodate is not viable without more govt money. This is stupidity

Kinda wonder who will be on the hook for this.

@duncan55naylor

I'll fight for Canada, and die if it comes to that... Canada took in my parents in the 1950s, and I've lived a wonderful life in Canada... I am Canadian.

@duncan55naylor

It's up to BC, so negotiate. Alberta and the federal government had better be careful here, or the backlash from BC will get ugly.

@glenngarry4750

Well that's proof that there is no industry proponent for pipelines, and DS is expecting citizen taxpayers to build it and get all the liabilities and SFA for benefits.

@MichaelSmith-yr8rb

Pipeline or rail to Churchill MB for now while we hopefully steer away from fossil fuel

Smith has bet the farm on an Oil pipeline and she is DESPERATE . Never a good thing. She should go talk to Manitoba re Churchill and look at more options.

A pipeline is a much better investment than a battery factory. Proven technology that delivers. See you soon David Eby.

@kellybrame-e1t

Well I'd say she should say she doesn't want trains running west of Alberta rockies. As there are fish and wild life corridors that could be effected . As we all know BC has oil coming in on trains daily.
