my hot take is tgat the dandys world fandom cares far 2 much about mischaracterisation sorry thats just how i feel i dont think its that deep if writing characters differently from the canon makes 4 a better story why do we care ? if someone prefers an interpretation you see as mischaracterising who gaf ????????? i mischaracterise my ocs all the time man its fun idc
this fandom polices so much of the people within it 2 only be creative in a specific way and then wonders why so many creators get pushed away from it man :sob:
ive seen so many animations and pieces of art with comment sections full of "um :/ this is mischaracterisation" or "but this ship is canon (wrong)" or "but this character is a minor (WRONG (this comment is NEVER about toodles))" liek dawg.............. who CAAAARES
sorry for the rant but its like one of the biggest things that gets on my nerves + part of why im starting 2 distance myself from this community
