@IRAMADaCoffeeAddict

I usually only get something new when it stops working well or breaks. Headphones tend to go fast for me cuz I'm clumsy

Considering all 4 items are outdated, the phone upgrade would probably help the most overall

Headphones are usable on my phone, laptop, and even smartwatch (if they're BT), but I use high end at home and mid end on the go. Unless I can get something with better durability and similar or better sound quality, I won't upgrade those. I'll simply add to my collection. Smartwatch is a steady 5 year upgrade/repair (if possible and in my budget) cycle as the battery degrades. Phone can get updates through the play store long after official support is dropped by the manufacturer. Used to be 3 year upgrade. Now, it's a 5-ish year one. Laptops are a secondary device for me. My desktop has undergone modular upgrades about 4 times over a decade. If you count all the additional storage as one upgrade, it's twice in a decade. Realistically, I upgrade based on necessity for my use-case, so it's all very situational. The least situational upgrade would be my smartwatch, so I'll go with that.

Every 3rd phone (iphone 16 pro max) and watch (Apple Watch 9th gen) I upgrade. AirPods when they break. And i still have a iPad Air 4 generation in no rush to upgrade. My imac is a late 2012 definitely next to upgrade when I get around to it. 🤦🏾‍

I keep my phone 4 or 5 years

It depends. When my AppleWatch Series 6 did not support BMW Digital Key, it was time to upgrade. When my MacBook did not support HomeKit, an upgrade was due.

The thing that I have no choice but to replace. Generally I have to take a reasonable amount of accountability. If only I wouldn’t drop everything so much.

It depends on what is in desperate need for an upgrade. If the scenario is all are going out on me and performing grabage then id say my phone. But rn id like a new phone but my laptop is going dead on me

My macbook, I’m using someone else passed on iPhone 8, I can still do YouTube, twitter, snap and insta. But my macbook struggled with newer audio plugins, and 3d. For me a new macbook matters more. And I just got one. But now I do want the iPhone 16e somehow that iPhone feels perfect for me, as I don’t wanna spend 1000 on a new phone, rather 850, for me more storage and battery sounds great. And a bet the camera is better than iPhone 8, plus I love the design of the 16e. The only thing I’m missing out on personally is telephoto and low light. And I love taking photos with my phone, when I’m not using social media for that day, I’m most likely taking photos or listening to music. Is it better getting 15 pro then?

I would go for the phone first, then the rest to build my ecosystem.

iPhone 14 Pro Max still works fine, don’t really use headphones much, my apple watch is still working fine. My ROG strix laptop with rtx 2070 32gb ram and hexacore i7 still works fine. No need to replace any currently.

I still use the Apple Watch S5, it still holds battery for a full day use

I can never have enough laptops. 😄 Each has different systems, programs, specs, form factors, and purposes. Phones have been lasting longer with little innovation with each gen. Decent and affordable headphones are good enough for me. And I personally have never had a need for a smart watch and prefer a traditional watch for fashion

My laptop's RTX 2060 requires an upgrade to handle current demanding games; a more powerful GPU is necessary.

It is the software. Forced to upgrade phone (previous one stuck on Android 8, app needing 9 and more recent) but a computer can now last 10 years with software updates. So my phone is 2024, laptop 2023 (to get Windows 11), desktop 2013 (update planned for this year), headphones 1981 but have been refurbished.

I got a used macbook in 2020 and now looking to upgrade to m3/m4. My iphone 13 is in perfect condition and I don’t want to upgrade yet until I see what AI is really about and how it’s going to help me in daily usages.

Really, it's a tie between phone and earbuds. I do each every other year.
