My old man saw way too much in WWII. He was in 7 bloody landings. When he got home from the war, he built a cabin in the woods and lived away from people for two years before he could deal with the real world. Alone time has benefits.

I can definitely attest to that. Just broke up from an 8 year relationship, all my best and only friends moved out of state, and I got no kids or anything. Couldn't be happier. Just doing my thing in peace

BASED 💯 Nothing can get me to trade away my solitude and peace. There's really no way to describe being in a quiet, peaceful place where you can be yourself. Sadly when we are younger they program us to be shamed to be alone and with peace

I agree with him 100%. I spent 9 weeks of last year, living alone in a camper, in the middle of the Manistee National Forest. I did some fishing. I did some hunting. I read some books, and watched some YouTube. In my 48 years on this planet I would have to say, it was the most peaceful segment of time, I've ever had my life. Not to mention. There seems to be a special kind of comfort in sleeping, when you go to bed knowing that... You've peed on every tree in the neighborhood.

💯 true. Having never lived alone before in my life, the last 6 years ( since I have) has been amazing. This is an addiction I don't want to break

In my 20s after a serious breakup I went to Japan and studied zen. When you realize all of life's problems stem from interactions with other people the solution becomes obvious and confusion disappears.

Solitude is grand. I sailed my small boat to Maine alone last year. It was incredible.

When a man goes quiet and is alone he processes and regroups himself. Women don’t understand this. Solitude is gold to a man.

It's a true fact. I love being alone and not interacting with anyone else.
