If you do hear anything about these NAS’ for us Aussies, please, I beg of you to communicate it to us. I’ve been after a new 8 bay NAS enclosure for some time and the UGreen one would perfectly fit my needs. Love the work you do mate, keep it up!

The major problem is not the Nas itself but the price of hard disk is unreasonably high these days. We cannot afford to buy so many hard disk now.

The biggest problem I see with these NAS and custom software is what happens when they fail. Not that drives fail, but, what if ugreen nas fails. If I use a TrueNas scale server and my machine fails I can probably recover with another machine, but, what happens with these NAS e.g TRAID of terramaster or Ugreen RAID. Would love to hear your thoughts in some video dedicated on failure of such solutions and how to recover

Suspect the reason why they might not sell in Australia is due to stringent rules on quality and consumer rights?

NASCompares
@UGREENUS seemingly continue to absolutely HAMMER the home turn-key NAS scene, with the newly revealed DXP4800S and DXP4800 Pro in the east. Still no word on if/when they will become globally available (Sorry again Australia, no idea!) or even if these are standard refreshes of the lineup, or additional entries. But you can learn more about them in today's video - https://youtu.be/2NCoYgS6NZY and in this NASCompares article - nascompares.com/2025/11/14/new-ugreen-dxp4800-pro-… . Have a fantastic weekend!
