All expenses paid would have to be Hawaii just because it's the most expensive. Only one I haven't been to because I can get so much more going to other places for a similar experience and the same amount of money. I can go to Mexico and non us Caribbean for realivtely cheap all the time. And Puerto Rico is still cheaper than Hawaii as well

I visited Hawaii with my fiancé in 2024 (it’s where she became my fiancé), and as someone from the eastern time zone, I honestly think the cost of traveling to Hawaii is really overstated. The flights to Maui, the Big Island, or Honolulu, were not that much more than a flight to a U.S. city that doesn’t have a “hub” airport. The cost of lodging is comparable to that of Boston, Chicago, or SF. The cost of dining is comparable to dining in most major mainland cities. Gas is way more expensive than anywhere in the mainland except Seattle or California. But that’s about it. The biggest cost difference for us is the time value of our 1 week of PTO, where 2 of the days are going to be spent just getting there & back. But if that’s a clearable hurdle, then I highly recommend making the trip. It’s such an amazing place, and the locals are so grateful to have you there. As for the poll, I picked the Virgin Islands because I’ve never been there and it’s comparable in cost with Hawaii without taking so long to get there.

I was given an all-expenses (mostly) paid 4-year trip to Hawaii in the early 1990s when the US Navy stationed me at (the old) SUBASE Pearl Harbor. Was the best time of my life, and I'd move back there in a heartbeat if I could afford it. I was born in Boston, and I live in the Rockies, but Hawaii is the home of my heart.

Non-US Caribbean, but really Cambodia for Angkor Wat and other temples and historical sites.

As someone who used to lived in the tropics in Mexico... I don't get why people love it? It's hot, humid, you sweat, you get burn by the sun no thanks... I would rather go to canada and recently I moved to Hokkaido and oh boy! Loving the weather here, can't wait for winter

I just spent two weeks camping on Kauai. Unbelievable. I could be a beach bum there.

I’ve been to all these places. Hawaii (especially the outer islands like Kaua’i) are quiet and yet familiar. They’re “easy”. No language barriers, the money is the same, it’s easier to get the lay of the land. Also recommended is The Big Island. I mean , Kyle, there’s an active volcano! The trip to the Mauna Kea Observatories is worth it all by itself. And it’s easy to find non-touristy places on the Big Island.

I think mexico has a massive diversity of things to see and do. Ancient cities, pyramids, food, cenotes, mountains, etc.

I took 4 years of Spanish in high school. In Spanish 3 I did a project on the country of Puerto Rico. I have actually never been there! I love history! And I love being outdoors! Going to Puerto Rico and The U.S. Virgin Islands would help me indulge both of my passions!

If you won an all-expenses-paid tropical vacation, which of the following would be your choice to go to?
