Cross Examined

Many argue that sins like premarital sex are fine as long as no one is “hurt.” But is that a sound moral standard? Join Frank for a thought experiment as he unpacks the problem with this logic and explains how God's commands ultimately benefit us. 👉📱https://youtu.be/q396YjJndw4

Thing is, people do get hurt. Premarital sex leads to heart break, STDs, abortions etc. regardless, sin is sin. Doing what is Good is not inherently about "no one getting hurt" it's about reflection God's image.

In this day and age, “hurt” means more than is apparent. “Words are violence” is one I hear a lot. “Silence is violence” is one I’ve heard, too. “Hurt” could be construed as almost anything it seems.

Fornication? That's perfectly normal for a teenager. You haven't Fornicated by 18, you get stigmatized!

Jesus said: "Love God and thy neighbor" is "the law and the prophets". And "Do onto others as you would want them to do to you." Nothing in there about premarital sex. And not even the old testament ever mentions premarital sex when it comes to man BTW. So you'd have to make a really strong argument to override the words of Jesus and/or even make the claim that the old testament applies to Christian. I expect a lot of cherry picking and twisting of scripture to make that case.
