@Xandranxanda

I really think people are underestimating the evil of a spell that controls you completely.

Everyone knows it's Nyeeeh, the most powerful curse ever invented (by voldemort)

The instant, painless death curse The rape curse the guantanemo bay curse

If you want to kill me, you'll kill me, and it doesn't matter if you use a spell that does it swiftly and painlessly with just two words or not. I'm still dead. Likewise, if torture is your aim, you'll torture me, using a spell or breaking out the hammer and pliers doesn't make much of a difference to me. The end result is much the same. But mind control? That scares me. And the worst part is when you're under the spell, you know what you're doing, but just drifting along in a happy haze, unconcerned.

AK and Crucio break a man, but Imperio breaks an entire society, by eroding trust

1. It just kills you. Bfd, we do that all the time 3. It just causes unnatural, indescribable pain. Heinous, but go on. 2. Completely robs you of your autonomy leaving you a passenger within your own body for however long the other wishes to own you. Even slaves could still think for themselves and had their own private thoughts

In my opinion among the three, The imperious curse is the most dangerous of them all. With this curse, a person can control half of the society. Example, a wizard use the imperious curse on someone and ask that person to cast on someone else, and then that someone else after controlling a third person, andwill ask the third person to cast the curse to the fourth person and so creating a chain of controled people. You can twist someone's opinion, you can force your will upon them. The killing curse and The torture curse are only subjected to an individual when applied, but the imperious curse can be applicable on a group of individuals. That's why it is very dangerous

If I had the choice between which curse was used on me, I’m taking the killing curse. Without a doubt the kindest of the unforgivable curses, being a puppet or being tortured is far worse than death

The pen is mightier than the sword, and with imperio you have control over any pen you could want. You control any person, government, army, or weapon system: if any of voldemorts people had had any familiarity with the muggle world they could have had hogwarts nuked

This one is tough. Worst in what way? The worst to experience, as in being the person the spell is casted on? The worst in a moral way, as in which one is more evil? If I was having one of those casted on me, the worst one would be crucio. Imperious curse would be mental pain, psychological pain. Avada Kedavra is immutable - there’s no coming back but it’s an instant death. Crucio is physical agony and excruciating pain, so I think that would be the hardest to be able to handle. As for the one that’s the most immoral, I think they are all equally as bad.

Avada Kedavra single-handedly made the magic system boring so that one

@CasabaHowitzer

From most to least evil, in my opinion: 1. Imperio 2. Avada Kedavra 3. Crucio

@MoxxoM

What do you mean by bad? Bad as in narratively bad? Avada Kedavra. Bad as in the worst functionally? Crucio. Bad as in the most “evil” or devastating tactically and strategically? Imperio.

@harryc657

you'd think about a few generations witches and wizards would be on the look out for signs of imperio. Like, have a specialist outside of ministry buildings like a metal detector. And I'd 100% cast AK if you put life or death before me... Plenty of spells kill and this can save one's life. Crucifix is just a war crime packed in a spell

Imperio’s got variety. Sure it’s bad. But I’d rather have someone tell me to go stand in the corner than hit me with the blasting curse so. Not inherently the worst thing, variety. Nyeeeuuh is a mercy kill - I’d honestly rather be Avada Kedavra’d rather than blown up by the blasting curse. Torturing someone is inherently evil. You can’t justify just inflicting pain for the sake of inflicting pain. If you wanna get information, you’re a fucking wizard. There are so many other options available to you.

I think the most unforgivable curse is actually the f word because it’s really mean and makes me sad ):

@GregorSamsara_

Avada and Crutiatus are spells for the uncreative Wizard. Imperius has a use which is not easily substituted

@Duke_of_Lorraine

With imperio you can command someone to do the same thing, the other 2 would do.

Taking away someone's free will is absolutely horrifying and truly vile. Edit: " the illusion of free will "

I would say the people that picked the killing curse have only watched the movies
